C.M. Hovey Camellia, Colonel Firey Camellia
Camellia japonica 'C.M. Hovey'
The medium sized, perfectly formed flowers of C.M. Hovey are a rich deep red ranging into dark pinks at times. It may be that weather and/or sun exposure affect the coloration of this late season flowering Camellia. This is an heirloom Camellia developed and named for the American nurseryman. It has been popular since its introduction and has also garnered many names over the years like Colonel Firey. This Camellia has somewhat of an upright habit and develops into a medium to large evergreen shrub or small tree. Item# 11330
