This is a small climbing succulent which produces an abundance of the odd flowers along the leaf-less stems throughout summer. A paradoxically yellow flowered purple coneflower with deep sunny yellow ray petals that surround the dark bristly rounded cone. This is the only species of Echinacea that naturally produces yellow flowers. The Ozark, Bush's, or simply the Yellow Coneflower is a native of the Ozark regions of northern Arkansas and central Missouri. In midsummer it produces the fragrant, nectar rich yellow flowers atop sturdy 2-3' high stems. Attracts butterflies, bees, and a variety of other pollinators. Butter And Sugar Siberian Iris

Iris x 'Butter and Sugar'  

This multi-award winning Siberian Iris produces large flowers composed of white standards and nicely contrasting buttery yellow falls and both of which are accented with greenish veining. Butter and Sugar flowers in midseason atop sturdy 24-30"H stems. The deep green narrow foliage provides grass-like motion in the garden even when the plants are not in flower. Provide Siberian Iris with an average moist to consistently moist moderately fertile soil and they can be planted near ponds, streams, and bog gardens as well as in average moist garden and landscape settings. They generally keep the best looking foliage where they have reliable access to moisture during the growing season. Butter and Sugar Siberian Iris is the 1981 of the AIS Morgan Award and the 1986 Morgan-Wood Medal (the highest awards given exclusively to Siberian Iris by the AIS), won both the Judges Choice Award and an Honorable Mention in its 1978 showing. Similar to New Gold in habit and flower power, Buttercream Lantana produces clusters of golden yellow flowers that change to a soft golden yellow and finally to white. An excellent Greg Grant introduction with somewhat more of a pastel effect than that of New Gold. Great for butterflies and pollinators! The tall spikes of deep golden yellow 1"+ wide flowers emerge from dark, near black buds and calyxes atop the tropical looking, up to 18" long, pinnately compound foliage composed of fragrant, deep olive green, rounded leaflets. The flowers may be produced throughout the warmer months of the year attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Buttered Popcorn Cassia, Senna didymobotrya, is a heat and sunloving, loosely branching, tropical shrub typically growing to 6-8' high, potentially larger in warmer climates with longer growing seasons and generally shorter, 4-6'H, in cooler summer climates. Gently rub the rounded slightly fuzzy leaflets and they will emit a fragrance similar to buttered popcorn to peanut butter depending on your nose which is certainly a good conversation starter especially for the younger generations. The Buttered Popcorn Cassia adds a splash of summerlong color and a tropical feel to any sunny setting. Provide a well-drained, fertile soil, in full to mostly sunny conditions for optimum vigor and flowering.
