The deep bluish-green, sword-shaped foliage is broadly edged in starkly contrasting white and creamy white creating a year round splash of color. The Variegated Yucca is an heirloom selection of the native Yucca filamentosa, or Adam's Needle, and develops into an architecturally pleasing, low rounded mass of evergreen foliage on a deer, heat, and drought resistant plant eventually reaching about 2-3'H x 3'W. It may eventually produce small offsets colonizing the area under good conditions. This tough as nails plant makes a colorful, low-maintenance, reliable, evergreen addition to the garden and landscape and can also be used to good effect as low-maintenance and forgiving container specimens. Adam's Needle is found throughout much of the eastern and central US and as far west as Kansas and is common component in the Longleaf Pine understory.
