The Pagoda Flower produces huge spikes of 1/2" coral-pink to reddish orange butterfly shaped flowers from mid summer well into fall. The spikes can reach 18" high and are shaped very similarly to a Chinese pagoda with flowers opening continuously over a period of weeks. The large velvety, generally heart-shaped foliage creates the perfect foil for the flower display and adds to its tropical appearance. Item# 10022.

Huge, 3-5" long mulberries, with a raspberry-like flavor. Mulberries are typically fast growing, medium sized trees with a natural umbrella shaped mature habit to 30' high and wide. These are  grown from cuttings from our own tree. We  have a few ready for spring.  Item # 854.

A 2020 Missouri Botanic Gardens Plant of Merit selection! 3-5" wide light pale pink to purplish pink coneflowers with drooping petals are held well above the rosette of narrow foliage on sturdy stems. Flowering normally occurs in late spring and summer and the nectar rich disk flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. The Pale Purple Coneflower, Echinacea pallida, closely resembles the Sanguin Purple Coneflower, E. sanguinea, and like its cousin it is a taprooted, clump-forming perennial found mainly in the central US in meadows, glades, and other open areas. Large, long-lasting clusters of, 2"+ wide flowers open a dark purple, and like the Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow they quickly fade to lavender, and finally to nearly white. The flowers are born in profusion during the warmer months of the year. This moderately vigorous vine received rave reviews during 2012 trials at The Trial Gardens at UGA as per Allen Armitage and Meg Green. Item# 10304.

Small clusters of unusual looking, funnel-shaped deep red flowers are tipped with contrasting white and green with the insides of the flowers being streaked and flecked with brown. The flowers are produced in early to midsummer atop 2-3' high stems and attract hummingbirds and other pollinators. The Parrot Lily, Alstroemeria psittacina, is an old pass-a-long heirloom perennial whose rhizomatous habit may be too aggressive for most garden settings but in the right location it makes an easy and rewarding informal groundcover. Alstroemerias prefer an average moist, fertile, well-drained soil and tend to be sturdiest where they receive atleast 4 hours of direct sunlight. *Where summers are hot, consider providing shade or filtered shade during the hottest part of the day. Finely cut medium-textured parsley-like foliage adorns the short sturdy stems of this easy and adaptable naturally dwarf houseplant or bonsai specimen. The Parsley-Leaf Ming Aralia can reach 3-4' high but 1-2' high is more typical and it is easily kept smaller and more compact with periodic pruning. This is a relatively slow growing cultivar of the larger growing Ming Aralia and so is not likely to outgrow your space and is tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions provided you do not keep it too wet. The bright deep pink flushes of holly-like new foliage and stems slowly matures to pastel pink, yellow, and ultimately a dark green. Party Lights™ Holly Leaf Tea Olive is one of the hardiest selections of Osmanthus and produces small white fragrant flowers in fall but it is mainly grown for its outstanding foliage color in the garden and landscape and has a nice dense well-branching habit that is sure to make a statement. This is a hardy evergreen shrub that will have the densest habit and brightest colors in full to mostly sunny conditions. Small clusters of sweetly fragrant white flowers are borne in the leaf axils in fall on this tiny delicate looking evergreen shrub. Kaori Hime Holly Leaf Tea Olive ( or recently appropriately named Party Princess™ Holly Leaf Tea Olive ) is delicate looking but should be a tough and easy to grow evergreen shrub with fine textured dark green holly-like foliage that maxes out at about 1/2" long and according to Ted Stephens, who found this Japanese cultivar and introduced it to the US, should have the best cold hardiness of all of the Osmanthus species, most likely zone 6 hardy like its larger leaved parent, Osmanthus heterophyllus. This is an obvious bonsai candidate but it can also be grown as a container plant as well as in the garden in landscape as a hedge or specimen plant. Expect this very dwarf Holly Leaf Tea Olive to have a naturally upright to vase shaped habit but it can be pruned into a low hedge if so desired. Provide a well-drained average moist soil for optimum health and flowering although it is fairly adaptable to soil types. Item# 11646

Possibly the brightest colored trailing Lantana on the market and both our staff and our pollinators have totally fallen in love with it! The rounded flower clusters open a deep orange-yellow, deepen through orange tones, and mature to deep fuchsia attracting a variety of bees, butterflies, and other garden beneficials throughout the growing season. Passion Fruit Lantana is a trailing selection perfectly suited to hanging basket and container culture whether as specimens or in mixed company and will also make a statement in the garden and landscape as a groundcover or enmasse. Very large, semi-double to loose peony to anemone form to near rose form, rich red flowers, occasionally with some white on inner petaloids, and with occasional yellow tipped stamens peeking through are produced late in the season, March to April. Paulette Goddard Camellia is a large flowered Japonica with a moderate to vigorous, upright, densely branching habit becoming rounded with age. Paulette Goddard is another exceptional zone 6B cold hardy Japonica. Provide Camellias with a fertile soil rich in organic matter, with average moisture, and an organic mulch. 3-5" green-yellow fruit with banana custard-like flavor, some say they are best after being frozen. Produces fragrant purple flowers in spring. A small native, normally understory tree, and is the caterpillar host plant of the Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly. Seedling grown. Plant two different varieties or seedlings for pollination. Item# 786.

Beautiful white leaves with green centers make this an outstanding specimen, even when not producing the large flowers that open white and fade to a peachy pink. Peaches & Cream Angel's Trumpet makes an easy container plant and is probably best grown this way except in frost free or near frost free climates. Large clusters of deep purplish red tubular fragrant flowers open to display white and creamy yellow throats. Peaches and Cream Honeysuckle begins flowering in late spring and will continue into fall. It was selected not only for its ability to flower continuously throughout the growing season, exceptionally large flowers and flower clusters but also for its pest and disease resistance. Like most Honeysuckles, Peaches and Cream flowers on new growth so provide it with a full to mostly sunny position in a well-drained fertile soil. Large 3" wide, deep blue, cornflower-like daisies are produced on sturdy stalks starting in late spring and lasting through much of summer on well established clumps. Peachies Pick is a dense clump forming and exceptionally long flowering selection of the Stokesia Daisy. Its dense compact habit make this the perfect Stokes Aster for gardens and landscapes. Did we mention that it doesn't flop like older cultivars? This southern selection originated from the gardens of and was named for Peachie Saxon of Mississippi. Light lavender to white 1" blooms are borne at the base of the deep green rounded leaves. The Peacock Ginger is very low growing and compact ginger blooming continuously through summer. It can be grown in a shady garden where hardy or it makes an easy, low maintenance container plant for shaded porches and patios. The foliage of the Peacock Ginger goes dormant at the first sign of cool weather and during winter and re-emerges in spring once the ground temperatures have warmed.
