The Ordering Process at Almost Eden

1. Once your order and payment are received by our system.
    a. You will be assigned an order number at the order's completion.
        i. We must receive payment in full before we can hold your plants in your order for you. If you select a different payment method like "check" please mail your payment to us at: Almost Eden, 1240 Smith Rd, Merryville, LA 70653. Also, please contact us via our customer support portal, via email, john(at)almostedenplants.com, or phone, (337) 375-2114, or put a note in the comments at check out to let us know that this is how you intend to pay.
    b. An automatic order confirmation email will be sent to you immediately upon the order's completion including an itemized list of the plants that you selected.
        i. If you do not receive this email please check your SPAM and add "@almostedenplants.com" to your accepted emails or whitelist. If you do not have an email from us, please contact us via our customer support portal so that we can ensure that your order was accepted by our system. We can then email you with your order information in the event that there was an error somewhere along the line.
 

2. Please check your order information carefully for accuracy. We urge you to contact us via our customer support portal as soon as possible if something needs to be corrected. We cannot be responsible for orders that go undelivered due to incorrect address information.
 

3. We do not do rush shipments as our plants must meet various state and federal compliance requirements before they can be shipped to you and this process generally requires a minimum of 48 to 72 hours for us to complete.
 

4. Paid orders that are received by 11:59PM CST on Wednesdays are normally shipped the following week, unless otherwise specified by you or our staff. You can pick a shipping week up to 6 months in advance or if you need a date further out just denote that in the comments at checkout or feel free to contact us. We are more than happy to work with you anyway that we can.  

5. As soon as we print the shipping label for your order you will receive an email from FedEx.com or USPS.com that should contain your tracking number and order details. Please be sure to add "@fedex.com", "@usps.com", and "@almostedenplants.com" to your white list so that these communications do not end up in your SPAM folder. You can also find your order's status and tracking number from the My Account web page if you are logged in to our website.
    a. If you have not received an email from the appropriate shipper by Friday of your shipping week, please feel free to contact us either via our customer support portal or via phone at (337) 375-2114.
      i. It is important that you open your package and unwrap your plants as soon as possible after receiving them. If you cannot open it immediately, please keep the package in a cool shaded area until that is possible. The included invoice will include general unpacking and initial care instructions for your new plants. b. If you do not receive your plants in a timely fashion (3 to 5 days is generally the maximum) after receiving the email from FedEx.com or USPS.com, please feel free to contact us.

 

  • We ship live, quality, well rooted plants that are individually selected by experienced growers.
  • Each plant is inspected, labeled with a fade-resistant waterproof tag, hand wrapped and packaged using the utmost care. 
  • Our packaging system is designed to ensure that each plant reaches you as though it was just pulled from our nursery. 

NOTE As of 9-4-2023: Unfortunately due to higher shipping fees and material costs we have had to update our shipping charges. Shipping charges are now zip code-zone based in combination with the number of plant units in your order: plants in 2.25-4.5" pots count as 1 unit each and quart sized pots are counted as 2 units each due to their higher weight and size. Fill the Box: In an effort to economize costs, the shipping charges are now the same for 1-4 plant units and are then increased in multiples of 4 units each. In other words, assuming all pots sizes in the order are 2.25,3.5, or 4.5 inch pots, it costs as much to ship 1 plant as it does for 4 plants, and then it costs the same to ship 5 plants as it does 8 plants. By filling the box out the shipping cost per plant will be the most economical.

You can find your shipping cost by clicking the "Calculate shipping cost" link in the minicart for users on a PC or Mac or on the "View Cart" page. Registered customers who are logged into the website will automatically have their shipping costs updated while they shop. Our Guarantee

Customer satisfaction is important to us.  The crew here at Almost Eden works diligently to ensure that your plants will have arrived to you in a timely manner and according to your requested shipment date in a condition that is healthy and are normally large enough to begin begin flowering in their first season. 

We do guarantee that:

    your plants will arrive healthy and in a condition which will give them the opportunity to grow and perform as we would expect them to under normal satisfactory growing conditions.  If you find a problem with your shipment please notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order.  If we find it appropriate, we will replace your damaged plants, credit your account, or provide the appropriate refund pertaining to the order in question. We will, at most, only replace, credit, or refund the original purchase price of the product in question.

    if you are not completely satisfied with your order please contact us within ten days of receipt of your order and we will do our best to work with you in order to remedy the situation.

 

 

We do not guarantee plants that are damaged or are in poor condition due to:

    exposure to inappropriate extremes in temperature, light, wind, salts, chemicals, or other conditions that are detrimental to the general health and well being of the plant(s) once you have received it(them). We feel that it is as much the customer's responsibility to provide the appropriate care for the plants that they have purchased as it is our responsibility to provide quality products and prompt and convenient service. If the plants that you are purchasing are cold sensitive, we feel that it is the customer's responsibility to take this into consideration when placing the order. We normally try to ship orders as promptly as possible, once an order has been placed and approved. So long as you place your order by Wednesday at 11:59PM CST we will ship it out the following Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday under typical circumstances and foregoing postal holidays or other unforeseen circumstances. You do have the option to select a shipping date up to 6 months in advance during checkout. If at anytime prior to the package being shipped you decide for us to hold your order for a later ship date due to unexpected conditions please feel free to contact us.

    plants that have remained in their packages beyond a reasonable amount of time after having been delivered to the address that the customer has specified (P.O. boxes included) when placing the order. Once the package has been transferred from Almost Eden to Fedex, we may not be able to reliably redirect your package, if at all. Living and growing plants become perishable items once they enter their packages and can only reasonably be expected to tolerate the varied temperature conditions and darkness that they may experience on their journey for a limited amount of time. Within 24 hours of an order having been shipped Almost Eden will notify you of its shipment via the email address that you supplied when the order was originally placed. If you feel that your package may need special instructions provided to the Fedex delivery driver please let us know and we will be happy to include them on the outside of your package.
