Aristolochiaceae
Bejuco de Santiago (Vine of St. James), Calico Vine
Aristolochia trilobata
Beautiful and unusual! Deep burgundy-green, curving, tubular, dutchman's pipe-shaped blooms with deep burgundy caps that overhang the open throat of these unique, carnivorous looking flowers. Each cap has its own 10-14'' purple twisting streamer dangling from its tip. The three-lobed glossy, olive green foliage adorns this medium sized tropical perennial twining vine.
