Excalibur Yucca, Adam's Needle, Curly Leaf Yucca, Spoon Leaf Yucca
Yucca filamentosa 'Excalibur'

The rounded mass of steel blue narrow sword like foliage is topped by tall spikes of dangling creamy white bell-shaped flowers are produced in spring on mature plants. Excalibur Yucca, a selection of our native Yucca filamentosa, is grown mainly for its steely blue to gray-green foliage that provides a nice contrast to nearby plants. This is a tough as nails, clump-forming, evergreen, small  native shrub that has a naturally rounded habit and even though it is fairly drought resistant it happily thrives in most well-drained soils in a full sun to partly shaded site. Adam's Needle is found throughout much of the eastern and central US and as far west as Kansas and is common component in the Longleaf Pine understory.
