Fragrant peachy orange butterfly-shaped lightly fragrant flowers are produced in large spikes in summer atop tall sturdy stems adorned with heavily variegated white and green tropical looking foliage. Dr. Moy Improved is, as the name would imply, an improved selection of 'Dr Moy', which was one of if not the first variegated Hedychiums available, with heavier streaks and splashes of clean white variegation that contrasts wonderfully with the deep green portions of the foliage. This hardy ginger is sure to add a tropical flair to any setting and unlike many variegated plants Dr. Moy Improved is tolerant of full to mostly sunny conditions if provided with a moist rich soil.
