2023-24 New Camellias and Sasanquas
Check out our newest Camellia and Sasanqua additions for the 2023-24 season! Including fragrant and zone 6 cold hardy selections! These are excellent low maintenance evergreen shrubs for use as specimen plants, as hedges and screens, shape them into tree forms, and even as bonsai and container plants. Camellias and Sasanquas are great for adding bright cheery colors to the fall, winter, and early spring garden and landscape. To learn more about how to grow them checkout our Camellia and Sasanqua Growing Guide. Shown here is Tama Americana, a large type Japonica that flowers in fall and winter.
The elegant, medium to large, white, densely packed, peony form flowers are produced in midseason, January to February, and standout like spotlights against the foil of deep green, glossy foliage. Flowers may display a few yellow stamens. Fifth Avenue Camellia is a large flowered Japonica type with a moderate rate of growth and a densely branching habit maturing into a large, rounded, evergreen shrub. Provide Camellias with a fertile soil rich in organic matter, with average moisture, and an organic mulch. Images courtesy of Cam Too Camellia Nursery, all rights reserved. Item# 13222
