A Treat (3/30/2022)
Excellent frozen. Just pick them - leave the stems on, remove leaves and debris, soak in large bowl of water for a few minutes to get the bugs to float to the surface, strainer shake the water off the berries, place on a brownie pan in the sun for about an hour to dry, carefully bag them - freeze them in ziplocks bags, keeps for at least a year. I'm eating some from last June right now. I harvest literally pounds of them from three bushes, remember to keep them under netting once berries get the hint of red, don't pick them until they are fully plump juicy and ripe!! Picking usually July 3rd in my zone 5a, easy to remember that date.

Goumi (11/5/2018)
Bought one 8 or 9 years ago and have never done anything to it but some 888 once a year. Amazing crop year after year. However, I am not much on making jelly so we started giving the fruit to our chickens. Wow. They go absolutely nuts when they see my husband coming with his hands full of goumi berries
