I have grown this variety of Porterweed for 2 seasons. It is not perennial in my zone 7a garden. It has taken full unrelenting summer sun with temperatures in the triple digits and bloomed continuously. Larger flowers then some Porterweeds. Combined with Lantana Grandpa's Pumpkin patch for a nice color combination.

This is an excellent porterweed. It is more compact than the typical Stachytarpheta mutabilis but it produces just as many flowers. It is one of the best plants in my garden for attracting hummingbirds, butterflies and other pollinators.

I planted this porterweed a few months ago, and it has been very healthy and required no care other than occasional watering during dry spells. I have grown coral porterweed for years and was looking to try something new, and Henlea did not disappoint. It is already blooming freely, with long spikes of beautiful purple flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. My plants arrived well-packed and very healthy. Would highly recommend!

I planted a single plant in a large terra-cotta pot and it was spectacular! Masses of flowers kept my hummingbirds well fed. I would highly recommend this plant, the flowers kept coming all season!
