Great (3/4/2024)
This have flourished in Dallas, morning sun / afternoon shade. Performing better than John Fannick, both look great, the John Fannick has just been slower. That worked out as JF is shorter than (and planted in front of) RP, so I have a bi-level show of disease free phlox covered in flowers.

One of Top Two, IMHO (6/26/2022)
Robert Poore is one of the best summer garden phlox I've grown-and I've tried a number and seen them taken over by mildew and disease. It is a little brighter, more luminous than John Fannick, but the two are equally hardy, strong-stemmed, and floriferous. I got three plants each from Almost Eden before Covid, and they have thrived w/o extra fertilization or special care. They are covered with butterflies, and their fragrance welcomes me as I enter my rose garden. Robert Poore and John Fannick are the answer to my prayers for a strong-stemmed, strong-flowering, no-mildew phlox. Waited years for them, but they are worth the wait. If I had to choose, I'd chose Robert Poore. but thanks to Almost Eden, I didn't have to choose.

Thank you for your kind words and we are so glad to know our plants are thriving in your gardens! Enjoy!

Best phlox paniculata I've ever grown (6/7/2021)
I found 'Robert Poore' phlox paniculat at Almost Eden several years ago, and it has been a joy to grow and see. I sometimes struggle with phlox in North-Cental Louisiana, but this took off like a rocket and I can't even recall how many times I've divided it. NO MILDEW (knocking wood, of course). And brilliant purple color that can keep up with the yellows of daylilies or rudbeckias. A great plant that reblooms strongly and is no trouble whatsoever. Plus fragrant. When I walk out my back door on a steaming hot summer day and see this in an area near my hybrid tea rose garden, I sometimes think of giving up the roses and becoming a phlox gardener! Highly recommend.

Fantastic Plant-strong stems, floriferous, no mildew (6/27/2019)
Having lost my sumptuous planting of passalong phlox to a careless garden helper and not having an immediate source from which to replace it, I ordered pots of Robert Poore from Almost Eden last summer. Pots were extremely well rooted, and when I put them into the ground, they took off. For two weeks now, the butterflies have been back in my garden in droves, fluttering all over the new planting. This is a hardy, fast growing, strong-stemmed phlox with all the fragrance and color of my lost passalong phlox. I'm ordering more. A fantastic plant-from a fantastic grower.
