Anise Hyssop, Blue Agastache

Azure blue, 4-6'' spikes are held above the Anise scented foliage in summer. An upright growing clump forming native perennial. This popular herb was used as a healing herb by American Indians and is great for making jellies, potpourris, and teas. An excellent plant for attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Anise Hyssop is an easily grown North American native. Deer resistant. Moderate salt tolerance when not exposed to direct spray. Moderately tolerant of most soil types so long as they are well-drained. Plants can be pruned to a few inches above ground for renewal as needed. May reseed under good conditions. Does best with full sun exposure and good air circulation.
