Cupressaceae

Amber Glow™ Dawn Redwood
Bright golden yellow feathery foliage on this tall stately tree makes for a brilliant contrast with surrounding evergreens. In fall, the Amber Glow™ Dawn Redwood takes on shades of orange and amber. This species is one of the oldest living conifers in the world known to have existed for at least 50 million years and is considered a living fossil. This is a naturally narrowly pyramidal deciduous tree that is similar to our native Bald Cypress. It develops a large trunk with textured bark and deep flutes (or ridges) and can grow at a relatively fast rate to 70-100'.
