I Like Turk's Cap! (8/12/2018)
Have a black thumb? Have a place that is too shady, sandy, clay-ey, too fill-in the blank? Well, if that is the case, this plant is for you (and me). I grew it for years in Austin on caliche (BAD no-soil). After it was established, I never watered it even during two droughts. I don't water it here (east TX) either. Hummingbirds, butterflies, & bumble bees love it. Yes, it re-seeds, but just pull out what you want. Oh, and if we have a famine, you can eat the cooked leaves and raw fruits. Chickens like the fruits too.
