I didn't buy my 'Professor Sargent' from Almost Eden, but have a high opinion of both the nursery and this camellia cultivar. 'Professor Sargent' would be a fine garden plant even if it never bloomed, but it does bloom profusely. Beautiful, dark-red flowers will bloom even after unusuallly cold weather when other camellias will pause or stop altogether for the rest of the season. This is an excellent 'starter' plant for people who aren't sure if they can grow camellias.
