Strobilanthes dyerianus

Shimmering purple foliage with deep purplish-green veins on a vigorous upright to spreading bushy tender perennial. A striking shade loving plant that makes an excellent addition to mixed containers. Moderately root hardy with good protection in the northern portions of its hardiness range. It is slow to return in spring when frozen back, but by late May is usually making itself known.

Easy to grow and can get large, periodic pinching or pruning will help keep the plants fuller and bushier. Provide a moist to average moist, well-drained soil with light shade to midday shade or mostly shade for best results.
