Alma Fig

Ficus carica 'Alma'


Alma, bred by the Texas ARS, produces a large crop medium to large pear shaped to rounded green fruit that ripens to yellow or bronze. The amber to pink flesh of Alma is considered to be excellent with a rich and very sweet flavor. The small eye is filled with honeydew and is highly resistant to spoiling making this a good choice for the South and Southeastern US. Alma bears fruit at a young age.
